Standard exterior colours

(This page is under construction. The colours from 1982 onwards will be completed. Last updated 14th. February 2008)

The customer could make a choice from a list of standard colours. During the years of production new colours were added and some colours were deleted. On this page you see an overview of exterior colours that have been delivered on the Silver Shadow and Bentley T models as standard colours. For this overview I used the Sales Manuals from April 1966, April 1971, February 1974, March 1978 and May 1979 and the Parts List up to and including lists of the nineties. It is possible that there have been standard colours that are not listed on this page. But when there are, there will not be many.
Disclaimer. I stress that I can not be made responsible for mistakes in these numbers. Also have a look at the Disclaimer and the explanation of these codes. Further on I stress that new paints and old paints almost always can't be applied together because of their chemical composition. The adhesion force of new paints too can differ from that of old paints.

In de table the next remarks are applicable:
Colour and Example. To see a car in the mentioned exterior colour click on the name of the colour or on the colour picture. Acrylic colours are sorted by their colournames.
Partnumber and Colourcode. Partnumber and Colourcode are copied from the Sales Manual, partlist and other sources. There are colours of which I have found more than one code. In that case both numbers are mentioned. The partnumber has been attached by Rolls-Royce, the colourcode by the supplier.
Period. For determining the period that the exterior colours have been delivered I have used my own collection of chassisnumbers in which I have registered more than 13,000 Silver Shadows and Bentleys T.
