Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II

1978, SRH35711, Highland green over Onyx

The rare colour Onyx has been combined with the rare colour Highland Green (roof) in a two tone colourscheme called "Roof only". The car was delivered new to Douglas and Elizabeth Alexander on 27th November 1978. They owned it for 15 years and then gave it to their son in law who had it for a further 9 years. The Alexanders had their initials put on the top centre of the front doors and you can still see them today even under a few coats of paint. The car had its 12,000 mile service in 1991, 13 years after it left the factory.
The third owner was an acquaintance of the Alexanders, a builder from Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. He sold the car in 2007 to the fourth and present owner (2010) who lives in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, Ireland.
The car has a full service history and has covered only 62,000 miles. The number plate BYR 898T was the English plate, the number plate ZV 3930 is the Irish Vintage plate. Vintage plates are plates which are only for imported Vintage cars over 30 years old.
